Cordella leaves a lasting legacy with Shrewsbury Hockey
SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – The families of Shrewsbury Youth Hockey Association were honored to receive a huge donation, the result of a recent fundraiser that was performed in honor of the “David Cordella, Jr.”. The fundraiser was organized by Bob Cuccaro of Cuccaro Associates, here in Shrewsbury, along with Andy Borraccino, who are both close family friends of the Cordella’s.
Through their efforts, they were able to raise $6,000 that was graciously donated to SYHA in memory of David. Through the years, David loved the sport of ice hockey, grew up playing hockey in the Shrewsbury Youth Hockey organization and then for Shrewsbury High School.
The Shrewsbury Youth Hockey Association (SYHA) wishes to extend its deepest respect, gratitude, and admiration to the Cordella family, friends, and relatives who, in the name of David P. Cordella Jr., have so generously contributed to the perpetuation of Shrewsbury Youth Hockey. The funds raised will provide significant support for area youths to continue playing the game that David loved to play! David’s spirit and enthusiasm for the game of hockey will be memorialized through a four-year sponsorship of a Shrewsbury youth team in the name of “Cordella Electric”. David was Born: October 4, 1979
